Get started today with these 5 ways to get happy!

Write  It Down:  Keeping a journal the old fashioned way has many therapeutic benefits. Writing can spark your creativity… (Did you know Tyler Perry kept a journal as a teenager and later went on to use his journal entries to write his first play? The rest is history).  Now we cannot promise you will become a famed writer but writing it down also helps reduce stress. Take 20 minutes a day all at once or in intervals and you’ll gain a few health benefits your mind, body, and soul may have been missing.

Unplug and Recharge:   It is important to grab (yes grab whenever you can) some down time out of your busy schedule.  Unplug the gadgets and electronics and get to a quiet place where you can reflect on your thoughts and hear your inner voice which we all have.  This is a wonderful way to boost your happy and your healthy. Use this time to reflect on things that are important, things that make you happy.   You’ll soon look forward to getting unplugged.

Goals:   Set your course with purpose and do not vary.  We each have the power to become accomplished at something we love.  Let me borrow this quote as it says it better than I can.
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you.” Maya Angelou

Exercise:  Getting active as little as 20 to 30 minutes at a time or broken up during the day to be active is an ideal way to boost your endorphins and get you healthy and happy.     Find an exercise you like, find a buddy, make an appointment with yourself at least 3-4 times per week. It’s the way to go!

Develop Healthy Habits:  Start to make wise choices and select food that is good for you. Make it a point to read labels before purchasing or consuming foods to insure high nutritional value and high calorie traps.

Smile, Live, Love, Laugh:
“Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful tools you have to make certain that your daily mood and emotional state support good health.”~ Paul E. McGhee, Ph.D.

Soon you will live a happier and healthier life.
